Directions to Meeting Room at Stanford
The SARA Western Conference will be held at the Physics/Astrophysics Building Conference room 102 and 103. We will open up at 8:30 with coffee and sweets and start at 9:00 am on both days.

Travel to Stanford -- used by the athletics department. It is fairly comprehensive. http://www.gostanford.com/travel/stan-travel.html. If you need more detailed directions, please contact us.
We will make a group reservation at MacArthurs Park in Palo Alto for Saturday night. Please let president_at_radio-astronomy_dot_org. know no later than March 11 so we can get reservations.
They have plenty of parking, you can even park at the train station. This will allow them to walk downtown University avenue after dinner without moving their cars. MacArthurs Park is famous for their ribs, potato skins and onion rings.

Directions to the Physics And Astrophysics Building Room 102/103
From US Highway 101 North and South:
Exit at Embarcadero Road west toward Stanford. Embarcadero becomes Galvez Road as you enter Stanford at El Camino Real. Stay in the left lane past Arboretum Drive. Turn right on Campus Drive East at the first stop sign on Galvez. Campus Drive East turns into Campus Drive West as it passes Palm Drive. Continue on Campus Drive West as it curves to the left, then to the right. Turn left on Via Ortega, after stopping at the sixth stop sign.
Turn right into the four-story parking structure near the end of Via Ortega. Metered parking is available on the first floor. Please note that parking is monitored Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Parking is free on the week-ends, however, they give tickets for handicap spaces 24 hours at day/7days per week.
Once you have parked, exit the parking structure and retrace your route down Via Ortega. Turn right at Via Pueblo. Continue down Via Pueblo to the Varian Physics Building, the third building on the right. Once you have parked, exit the parking structure and retrace your route down Via Ortega. Turn right at Via Pueblo. Continue down Via Pueblo to the Varian Physics Building, the third building on the right, walk up the ramp on your right and down the arcade beside the construction fence and enter the Astrophysics building through the first set of glass doors on your left.
From Interstate 280 North and South:
Exit at Sand Hill Road east toward Stanford. Continue east, turning right at the traffic signal on Santa Cruz Avenue. Turn left immediately at the next traffic signal, onto Junipero Serra Boulevard. Turn left at the next traffic signal, Campus Drive West. Continue around Campus Drive West as it curves to the right. Turn right on Via Ortega.

Exit El Camino Real at University Avenue. Turn toward the hills (away from the center of Palo Alto). University Avenue becomes Palm Drive as you enter Stanford. Go past one traffic signal, and turn right onto Campus Drive West after stopping at the first stop sign. Continue on Campus Drive West as it curves to the left, then to the right. Turn left on Via Ortega, after stopping at the fourth stop sign.
