Off the shelf 408MHz RA kit

By NI2O - Posted on 22 February 2012

So I was looking around for stuff that I could build a 408MHz RX with and I ran across this;

http://www.mtmscientific.com/tuner.html

It's the usual TV tuner affair but this kit has pretty much everything on it you'll need.

The tuner is controlled by a PICAXE CPU, there's an AM product detector and a signal amplifier built right onto the board. You could even add a PICAXE A-D converter for a few $$ more.

Price is currently (02/2012) $57.

All you'll then need is an antenna.

Go on, get your iron hot! You know you want to :)
